It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to post. I was getting ready for the Christmas but now that Christmas day has passed, I have some time to post the items I created. I didn’t want to post them prior to Christmas or I’d ruin the surprise.
I’m always looking for different ways to gift money instead of the typical money holder card. I saw several people making Hershey Kisses Gift Card holders, so I decided to modify the Gift Card holder into a Kisses Money Holder. I believe this is a unique creation, as I haven’t seen the Kisses Money Holder anywhere else. I made 18 of them for my mom and step-father to use for their gifts of money for several relatives.
Here are the directions to make your own Kisses Money Holder.
You will need a pice of cardstock cut to 9 1/2″ by 10 1/4″
Score the 9 1/2″ side at
1/2″, 1 1/2″ and 9″
Score the 10 1/4″ side at
3″, 5 3/4″*, 6 3/4″, 7 3/4″, 8 3/4″, 9 3/4″
Fold and burnish all score lines EXCEPT the 5 3/4″* line. Do not burnish the 5 3/4″ line as this is for reference only when you create the kisses treat box at the bottom.
Cut as shown below and use the Detailed Trio punch #146320 to round the corners.
Using the Classic Label punch, #141491, punch a window to display the Hershey kisses. You will need to fold up the 1/2″ tab at the bottom in order to punch the window. Start in the middle first, then punch to the left and right side of the middle punch.
You will need a piece of window sheet, #142314, cut at 5 3/4″ by 3/4″. I couldn’t find my clear window sheet, so I used an old textured window sheet.
You will also need a scrap piece of cardstock cut at 6 1/4″ by 1″. This will hold the kisses in the treat box.
Adhere the window sheet to the inside of the cardstock where you punched the kisses window. I used Multi-purpose liquid glue, #110755 to adhere the window sheet.
Add a strong adhesive like Stampin’ Up! Tear & Tape, #138995, as shown below. This will create the pocket for you to add in the paper money.
Flip the cardstock over and add Tear & Tape to the 1/2″ tab. Fold the 1/2″ tab up to the 5 3/4″ line and adhere. This will create the box for the kisses.
I used a Mini Glue dot, #103683, to adhere seven kisses to the 6 1/4″ x 1″ cardstock cut above. This will slide into the small box you just created.
I added piece of Whisper White cardstock, #100730, to the front to add a sentiment. I also added a ribbon bow around the kisses box as a finishing touch.
I hope you enjoy my Kisses Money holder and let me know if you try making a Kisses Money holder.
Enjoy your day and be safe!
